Welcome to Harmony Family Center at Montvale
Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Montvale has long served as a gathering place for children and families. Throughout the 1800s and early 1900s, the mineral springs at Montvale attracted guests from across the country to stay at the hotel on site and enjoy the serenity of the mountains. After the last hotel closed, the property captured the hearts of hundreds of campers through YMCA Camp Montvale for many years.
In 2008, former Montvale counselor Sam Furrow purchased the property and gifted it to Harmony Family Center. Since then, Montvale has been renovated and restored for use in a variety of therapeutic programs serving individuals, children, and families.
Today, invited guests will find a picturesque mountain retreat with cabins, a barn and stable, a beautifully renovated dining hall which can also be used for indoor meeting space, a 155,000-gallon pool, a 17-element challenge course, several open-air pavilions, basketball and sand volleyball courts, an athletic field, interactive playground, and more. Montvale is closed to the public to protect the confidentiality and safety of Harmony's clientele.

Nestled at the foot of Chilhowee Mountain, historic Camp Montvale combines the breathtaking backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains with the quiet peace of undisturbed wildlife.
Montvale offers a variety of amenities for groups of all types and ages, including cabins, lodge and dining hall, therapeutic office spaces, swimming pool, hiking trails, equine facilities, rock climbing and ropes course, campfire pits, covered awnings and gathering areas, an outdoor chapel, and more.

Montvale is pleased to offer elopement and small wedding packages . With our indoor and outdoor areas, we are able to adhere to social distancing guidelines upon request.
